Juan Zhao, PhD, is a Research Assistant Professor of Biomedical Informatics in the School of Medicine at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Zhao achieved a PhD in Computer Science from the University Chinese Academy of Sciences. Her work was supported by the American Heart Association (AHA) and NIH grants.
Research Interests: Leveraging machine learning, data mining, and natural language processing techniques on Electronic health records and omics data to advance deep phenotyping and disease prediction. Also interested in Blockchain technology in healthcare and Internet-of-Things (IoT).
