National Summit

The Root Cause Coalition’s annual National Summit brings together representatives from health systems, hospital associations, foundations, businesses, national and community nonprofits, health insurers, academic institutions and policy centers to share best practices. To finally achieve health equity we must work together, across sectors of service, to address systemic racism and the social drivers of health.

Known as the premier convening for all those working toward health equity, the National Summit brings together key stakeholders from health systems, hospital associations, foundations, businesses, national and community nonprofits, health insurers, academic institutions, local governments and policy centers to share best practices. To achieve health equity for all we believe we must work together, across sectors, to address systemic racism and the social drivers of health.

The 2024 National Summit will be held October 6-8, 2024, in Baltimore. Our goal at the National Summit is to facilitate collaboration between and highlight the incredible work being done across the country by every type of organization working to achieve health equity.  As such, the agenda reflects the cross-sector nature of our work and focuses on demonstrable, scalable, innovative ideas and programs and discussions with national health equity experts.  Registration information is forthcoming. The request for proposals will open in mid-February 2024.

This Summit will also feature the annual TRCC Health Justice Award, graciously sponsored by Aetna, a CVS Health company to recognize and honor organizations that have successfully implemented a program or intervention to reduce health disparities within the past three years. The winner of the award will receive $25,000 and will be formally recognized at the National Summit. Nominations will open in mid-April 2024. Click here to view past Health Justice Award winners.
