Hello Ski & Snowboard School Pros,
As we move through the heart of the season, I want to take a moment to say thank you. The energy, care, and professionalism you bring to the mountain every day truly make a difference for our guests and for one another.
Leading a team of this caliber (especially in a year of abnormal weather and lower snowfall that has required us to pivot and adapt ) is something I do not take for granted. Your professionalism, care, consistency, and operational excellence, regardless of conditions, are what make our program strong. It is truly an honor to work alongside such dedicated professionals.
This time of year, complacency can quietly become a factor. Fatigue builds, routines feel automatic, and familiarity can dull our awareness. In mountain operations and instruction, that’s when risk increases, both on and off the hill. I’m asking each of you to recommit to the fundamentals and to our commitment to Safety of Self: deliberate decision-making, strong situational awareness, clear communication, and actively looking out for one another. Safety is not seasonal; it requires discipline and intention, especially right now. Finishing strong starts with staying sharp.
With Spring Break only a few weeks away, this is the stretch where focus, energy management, and professionalism define how we show up. I encourage each of you to intentionally do something that fills your cup. Get outside for yourself. Take a run with no agenda. Rest. Move your body. Connect with friends or family. Do whatever supports your physical and mental resilience. Sustainable performance matters, especially as we prepare for our busiest weeks.
Let’s replenish our bodies and minds so we can finish this season strong and with pride.
I am so thankful and lucky to work alongside true professionals. I am learning from all of you every single day. Let’s continue to share our knowledge, care for one another, and carry this momentum forward as we make the most of the opportunities still ahead of us this season.
