June 24th,

Good afternoon William Penn Families & Students!!!

This is Ms. Brewington, School Principal with a special announcement!!

The 2020 Penn Quill has arrived!!! We are super excited to share all of our school memories from the past year through the yearbook! Students in grades 9 – 11, stay tuned for information regarding underclassmen yearbook distribution and sales. The announcement will be shared sometime in July.

Tomorrow is our first ever diploma celebration on the front steps of William Penn High School!!! We are super excited to host this event for the Class of 2020!!! Along with your diplomas, certificates, etc., SENIORS (ONLY) can pick up their yearbook during the diploma distribution.

There will be a station set up for Seniors to pick up their pre-ordered 2020 yearbooks.

Don’t worry if you did not pre-order a 2020 yearbook!!! There will be a limited supply of yearbooks available for the purchase price of $80 – cash only. Some 2019 yearbooks are available as well.

Seniors and families, please make sure you go on our website or our Facebook page to view a brief instructional video on how tomorrow’s event will take place.

Remember tomorrow’s event is only for the Class of 2020 students and families.

Just as a reminder:

• There should be one car per graduate. This means families must be riding in the same car with the graduate.
• Cars that do not contain a graduate will not be allowed on the property.
• During the event, only the graduate will be permitted to leave the car for “the walk” and professional picture.
• Graduates should arrive on June 25th using the following schedule:
– 9 am to 12 pm (Last Names A – K)
– 1 pm to 5 pm (Last Names L – Z)

At all times, we will be following the guidelines set forth by Governor Carney and the CDC. We will require social distancing and at no time will families, visitors and graduates be allowed to congregate. Only the graduate will be permitted to exit the vehicle to participate in “the walk” and professional picture. Masks should be worn at all times when students are outside of vehicles, with the exceptions being worn for “the walk” and professional picture.

On behalf of the Colonial School District, we are very proud of the accomplishments of the Class of 2020 and we look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow for their diploma celebration;

Again, Congratulations to the Class of 2020!!!

Once a Colonial, Always a Colonial!!!
