Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (8-4-1, 4-0-0) won their fourth straight match with a 5-0 rout over New Jersey City (7-4-1, 0-4-0 NJAC) on Wednesday night.
Ervin Gjeli (Hasbrouck Heights/Hasbrouck Heights) led the way with two goals and two assists on the evening.

Stockton dominated the first half, outshooting the Gothic Knights 7-2 and potting a trio of goals. Gjeli got the scoring underway at 16:54 with his seventh marker of the year. The senior scored after a
Max Bond (Cherry Hill/Cherry Hill West) volley to make it 1-0. It would prove to be the only goal that Stockton would need.

Freshman
Joseph Carbone (Pequannock/Pequannock) tallied his sixth of the year, when Gjeli sent the rookie in after a long pass. Carbone tipped the ball by the goalkeeper and hit the net for the 2-0 margin at 25:37 of the first half. 3:10 later, Gjeli would hit on a penalty kick, for the 3-0 lead that would last until the break. The penalty kick was his fifth in five tries this season.

In the 56th minute, Gjeli gained the end line at the Knights goal and fired a pass that
Peter Kozlej (Toms River/Toms River East) tipped in for his first goal as an Osprey and a 4-0 lead. Carbone would finish the scoring in the 78th minute with a header off a corner kick by
Antonio Matos (Hammonton/St. Augustine Prep) to set the final score at 5-0.

Goalkeeper
Dino Gromitsaris (Bordentown/Bordentown) started and played the first 59:22 in net, making two saves, before giving way to
Liam Brett (Palmyra/Palmyra), who saw action for 21:01 of the contest.
Andre Perez-Santalla (Mountainside/Gov. Livingston) finished up the final 9:37 in net. Neither goalies had to make a save.

Nick Linebaugh made two saves in 73:30, before giving way to Aldahir Cazun, who played the final 16:30 without making a save for NJCU.

Stockton's next match will be Saturday night, when the Ospreys will travel to Montclair, NJ to face #15 Montclair State. Game time is set for 7pm.
