Lots of excitement at Village Hall this morning as ComEd joined Governor JB Pritzker in presenting Mayor George Van Dusen and the Village of Skokie with a $45,000 electric vehicle (EV) rebate check, helping provide funding to further electrify the Village’s municipal fleet. Skokie is making rapid progress in expanding EVs, with four public charging stations and five municipal fleet ports added to date, and additional charging ports planned over the next year. Skokie was also one of the first 12 Illinois municipalities to achieve certification through the ComEd and Metropolitan Mayors Caucus EV Readiness Program, which helps governments reduce barriers to EV ownership and infrastructure investment. https://lnkd.in/gdGHBfRR
