Galloway, N.J. - The Stockton University men's and women's cross-country teams each qualified for
All-Academic Team status from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Senior
Maria Antoni (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Upper Moreland) and junior
Daniel Do (Galloway/Absegami) earned
USTFCCCA All-Academic status individually as well.

The Stockton women's squad amassed an outstanding 3.76 cumulative team grade point average that tied for ninth in the nation, up two spots from last year. The Osprey men's team made a huge jump of 47 spots with an impressive 3.53 team GPA that tied for 29th nationally. The Stockton men's and women's teams are coached by
Jayson Resch and
Nick McDonough respectively.

To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team, the squad must have recorded a cumulative team GPA of 3.10 or higher and competed and compiled a team score at the NCAA Regionals. Overall, 212 women's teams and 172 men's teams from NCAA Division III met the requirements for All-Academic Team honors.

Antoni, an Exercise Science major at Stockton, and Do, who majors in Biochemistry, both earned their first USTFCCCA Cross Country All-Academic nods. Antoni and Do qualified for the accolades by compiling a grade point average above 3.30 and finishing among the top 25 percent of runners at the NCAA Atlantic Regionals.

Antoni finished 45th out of 274 runners at the season-ending regional meet with a time of 23:44.3 for six kilometers. She joined the team this year as a transfer from Shippensburg University and was the top finisher for the Ospreys at five races during the season. Antoni posted three top-10 performances, highlighted by a win at the TCNJ Invitational, and also earned an NJAC Second Team spot.

Do finished 57th out of 299 competitors at the Atlantic Regionals with a time of 26:24.8 for eight kilometers. He was Stockton's top finisher in all seven races, with five top-10 efforts including a win at the Osprey Open. Do collected NJAC First Team honors by placing fourth in the NJAC Championships and was chosen NJAC Rookie of the Week twice during the year.
