Galloway, N.J. – Eleven Stockton University student-athletes received NJAC all-conference honors in women's track & field for the 2023-24 indoor season. The Ospreys finished third at the NJAC Indoor Track & Field Championships with 105 points, led by three NJAC First Team performers.
Kayla Kass (Bayonne/Bayonne) qualified for the NJAC First Team spot in the 800m with a victory in a school-record time (2:14.71) at the NJAC Championships. The sophomore collected her second straight all-conference nod in the 800m after earning NJAC Second Team a year ago.
Khristina Washington (Hammonton/Hammonton) earned her first NJAC indoor title and NJAC First Team accolade with a win in the triple jump (10.76m) at the NJAC Championships. Washington now has four all-conference honors in indoor track & field during her career.
Ashanae Morrison (East Brunswick/East Brunswick) won the long jump (5.11m) at the NJAC Championships to become a conference champ and NJAC First Team for the first time. Morrison tied her indoor personal best in the event and recorded her first career indoor all-conference award.
NJAC Second Team selections went to
Kaitlyn Vervier (Forked River/Lacey Twp.) in the high jump (1.57m),
Madison Fey (Easton, Pa./Freedom) in the pole vault (2.90m) and
Emma Petrolia (New Milford/New Milford) in the triple jump (10.71m) as each member of the trio finished as the runner-up in her respective event at the NJAC Championships.
Kass and Petrolia added a second all-conference nod as they joined
Emma Conroy (Matawan/Matawan) and
Abby Petrolia (New Milford/New Milford) for NJAC Second Team kudos after placing place in the 4x400 relay (4:04.47) at the NJAC Championships.
Morrison also snagged her second all-conference nod of the season by teaming with
Ellie Hallman (Manasquan/Manasquan) and freshmen
Emily Morgenstond (Rockaway/Morris Hills) and
Cameron Radcliffe (Point Pleasant/Point Pleasant Boro) for NJAC Honorable Mention spots in the 4x200 relay with third place at the NJAC Championships (1:49.07).
