New Paltz, NY — Hurricane Iota has torn through Central America, especially Honduras, the home country of State University of New York at New Paltz senior forward
Carlos Cuellar.
To help in the relief efforts Cuellar asked SUNY New Paltz students, faculty, staff and the entire community to donate clothes, shoes and other basic essentials that he will then ship back to Honduras to help people in need. A bin will be left out in front of the Athletic Wellness Center from Wednesday to Sunday evening during building hours for anyone who would like to donate items.
The AWC is open Wednesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. with students, faculty, staff or community members welcomed to come by during those times to drop off donated items.
