Linwood, N.J. – Stockton University hosted Arcadia University and Cabrini University in the Stockton Invitational at Linwood Country Club. The Ospreys posted a team score of 420 for third place while Arcadia came in at a winning 390 and Cabrini posted a 399.
 
Two Stockton golfers finished in the top four spots of the 13-player field, led by Elenora Byrne (Princeton Jct./West Windsor-Plainsboro South) who tied her career best with an 86 for second place. Byrne made two birdies and four pars on the day. After starting with a 45, she fired a 41 on the back nine.
 
Ella van Schalkwyk (Haddon Hts./Paul VI) placed fourth with a 93 that featured three pars. van Schalkwyk went out in 48 before improving with a 45 on the back nine.
 
Paula Handel (Little Egg Harbor/Pinelands) shot a career-best 103 and finished in a tie for eighth place. Handel made two pars in her round. Lexi Hughes (Galloway/Absegami) rounded out the Stockton quartet with a 138.
 
Stockton will play in the Arcadia MAC Preview at Golden Oaks Golf Club on Saturday.
