Intergenerational job candidates – including age 50+ – strengthen the workforce through diverse life experiences. The more experienced candidates have honed their essential people skills and bring work ethic and reliability to the table. This briefing makes the business case for “hiring up.”

About the Speaker

Bruce has over 30 years’ experience in workforce and career development in various capacities from direct service to leadership. For 13 years, he led Maryland’s workforce development-related professional development and capacity building initiatives as director of the Maryland Institute for Workforce Excellence.

When funding cuts eliminated “The Institute” in 2011, Bruce launched his own business, and through the Workforce Excellence Group, LLC, he helps people stay on the cutting edge of their professions through training, facilitation, and coaching. His areas of focus include helping employees develop the essential soft-skills they need to thrive in today’s workplace, and making training more engaging and productive. He has numerous professional certifications.
