Galloway, N.J. – Four Stockton University basketball players received Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators for the 2023-24 season. Women's basketball guard Emma Morrone (Maywood/Hackensack) earned a CSC Academic All-District nod for the second straight year.

Morrone was joined by teammates Imene Fathi (Wildwood/Wildwood) and Brianna Robinson (Cape May Court House/Middle Twp.), along with men's basketball player Christian Armstrong-Thomas (Marlton/Cherokee). Fathi, Robinson and Armstrong-Thomas all qualified for the first time.

The requirements for College Sports Communicators Academic All-District were a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average and sophomore or higher standing. In addition, players must have played in at least 90 percent of their team's games or started at least 66 percent of them.

Morrone, an applied physics major with a 3.65 GPA, filled the stat sheet again this season, scoring 8.2 points and grabbing 5.5 rebounds per game from her guard spot. The junior was one of just four Ospreys who played all 26 games. She finished third in the NJAC in assist-turnover ratio (1.4), fifth in assists (3.5 apg) and eighth in steals (2.0) while leading the Ospreys in all three categories.

Morrone was voted NJAC Honorable Mention for her play this season. She finished her stellar career 10th in Stockton history with 192 steals to go with 627 points, 410 rebounds and 231 assists in 80 career games, 72 of which she started.

Fathi joined her backcourt mate on the squad with a 3.83 GPA as a biology major. The sophomore excelled on the court as well, leading the team in scoring (11.2 ppg) and three-pointers (40) while finishing fifth in the NJAC in assist-turnover ratio (1.2) and sixth in assists (3.2 apg).

Fathi played in all 26 games with 23 starts in the Stockton backcourt. She scored in double figures 16 times including two contests with 20 or more highlighted by a 24-point effort on 9-11 shooting against Alvernia on November 18.

Robinson, a health sciences/pre-physical therapy major with a 3.71 GPA, played 25 games with eight starts as a valuable member of the rotation for the Ospreys this season. In 14.9 minutes per game, the sophomore scored 70 points, grabbed 30 rebounds, pilfered 15 steals and dished 15 assists.

Robinson, who also plays on the Stockton women's lacrosse team in the spring, shot 10-12 (83.3%) at the free throw line. She scored a career-high 10 points in a game three times this year.

Armstrong-Thomas, in his first season at Stockton after transferring from Georgian Court, produced a 3.57 GPA in business administration. While at Georgian Court, he had a GPA of 3.72 as well. For the season, the junior played in 27 games with 18 starts, averaging 4.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.
