As our student-athletes and coaches prepare to return to the court, George Mason Basketball fans now have the opportunity to support the team at EagleBank Arena all season long with a fan cutout of yourself, family members and favorite pets! Due to anticipated capacity limitations, we thought it was important to find a way for Patriots near and far to be a part of such a unique 2020-21 basketball season. Two different packages have been created for a fan cutout:

Fans can purchase up to 4 cutouts per transaction. Having your image placed in the seats throughout the season will help create a great atmosphere in the arena as well as provide an enhanced visual presence for our television audience. Proceeds from sales will benefit the Men's and Women's Basketball programs through the Patriot Club. After placing your order you’ll receive an important email with a link to upload your photos. Before purchasing your cutout and uploading your photo, please review our cutout FAQ and familiarize yourself with the photo upload guidelines below.

Guidelines for Photo Submission

CHOOSING YOUR ATTIRE:

• Show off your best Mason or green & gold apparel! 
• Make sure the color of your shirt does not blend in with the background. 
• If you wear glasses or decide to wear a hat, make sure to keep your head up to avoid glares and shadows. 

SELECTING A BACKGROUND:

• For best results use a solid-color background -- use a sheet or blanket if you don’t have a plain wall that will work.
• Avoid backlighting -- don’t stand in front of a window or a door. 
• Make sure you do not have sensitive information visible in the background of your picture. 

TAKING THE PICTURE:

• Have someone else take your picture. Selfies will not work. 
• Photos taken by smartphones will work. When submitting the photo, make sure it is as large as possible. Don’t compress the file. 
• Take a vertical (portrait) photo from your waist up. Include some space around your head and shoulders so that your body is not chopped off.
• Stand 3-4 feet away from the camera/phone, and have the photo taken at your eye level.
• If you decide to hold up foam fingers, props, or signs, make sure they are in front of your body. Anything outside of your body width will not be included in the cutout shape. 

PHOTO SUBMISSION:

• Please submit your photos using the Google Forms link sent in your confirmation email. 
• Make sure the picture files are over 1 MB. The bigger the file size, the better. Smaller file sizes will not come out as clear. 
• Double check you have selected the right file before hitting submit. 

PHOTO LIMITATIONS:

• Team-branded attire only. No third-party branding, on apparel or in photo backgrounds. No attire or other branding of NCAA schools or sports teams.
• No commercial advertising, including company names, apparel brands, hashtags, social media handles, phone numbers, logos, slogans or other branding.
• No political statements, logos, slogans or other political content.
• No offensive or negative comments about the institution or other NCAA schools or sports teams.
• No lewd, inappropriate or offensive photos.
• No names, images, or likenesses of any NCAA players.

George Mason Athletics reserves the right to reject any photo that it determines, in its sole discretion, violates these guidelines or is otherwise offensive, lewd, derogatory, infringing, discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate. If your photo is rejected, an athletics staff member will contact you about obtaining a new photo. Purchasing and submission of your photo also provides George Mason Athletics the ability to use your image for promotional and marketing purposes.
