Your new single, “Little By Little” has gotten an amazing reaction from your supporters. What has been your thought about the reaction of the song?
I am overjoyed with the reaction so far! Just a few days ago I saw someone singing along in the crowd and that feeling was unreal. It makes me happy to see that people are relating to it and letting me be a little part of their life!
How did the idea for this song come about? & Can you tell us the meaning behind the name “Little By Little”?
I wrote this song with Erik Dinardo and Jesse Labelle, two amazing writers in town! I brought the title to Erik and I knew the second we decided to start writing this song that it was going to be my first single. We then brought Jesse in and he really helped bring life to the song! The story behind the title is exactly what the song says, I had just started dating my boyfriend and was in this exact situation of finding compromise in the early stages of a relationship!
What’s the process of writing one of your songs?
Well, I am typically (not always) the one who brings the titles in to my writing sessions. I bring titles and stories and then the other writers help me bring them to life!
We are so excited to be premiering the music video for “Little By Little”. How did the idea for this music video come about?
I have to give a lot of credit to my videographer, Logen Christopher. I sent him the song and told him that I wanted it to be flirty and light hearted and most importantly, tell the story of the song. He came back with the amazing story line that we ended up using in the final video!
Any fun moments while creating the music video?
So, everyone knows I love donuts and the video crew surprised me by incorporating donuts into the video! So that was a lot of fun to eat and incorporate, since donuts are my favorite food!
Do you have a creative say in your music and videos?
I do. I have actually worked with Logen previously on other videos and so he really had a good idea for what my personality is and what was going to suit my vision best!
Are there any other projects in the works you can tell us about?
There are a lot of songs being written and recorded.. and a lot of decisions being made!
What’s an average day like for you?
An average day… waking up around 7 or 8, answering emails and catching up, usually heading to a writing session from about 10-2, after that I’ll usually head to the studio for an hour or so and then I’ll go home and possibly workout or just watch netflix or go out to a show!
What social media platform do you use most to stay connected to your supporters?
Instagram! I think that where anyone who really wants to know me can go and feel like they are getting the most genuine and updated posts about what’s going in my life.
