Brittany Mayes joins Graphics as reporter

Announcement from Graphics Director Chiqui Esteban and Senior Graphics Editor Tim Meko: 

We are happy to announce that Brittany Mayes will join the graphics team as a graphics reporter.

Brittany, a graduate of the University of North Carolina, comes to us from NPR, where she has worked since October 2016 as a news apps designer and developer. Her work has included building interactives and applications, analyzing data and producing breaking news graphics.

She is a passionate member of the “news nerd” community, having worked as a volunteer and organizer for NICAR, IRE, NABJ, ONA and Girls Who Code, among others. Brittany was recently named one of the DCFemTech Award recipients in the area of data.

Brittany’s first day will be June 4. Please join us in welcoming her to The Post.
