F-CVC Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship Program Application
The $6,000 stipend will be paid via bi-weekly paychecks (direct deposit available) at a rate of $15 per hour (pre-tax) for ten weeks of full-time work (40 hours per week). The F-CVC SURF program is expected to start Tuesday, May 28, 2024, and ends Friday, August 2, 2024.
Fellows are expected to work in their mentor’s lab, attend weekly SURF seminar series, participate in organized social events, and present their research findings at the End of Summer Symposium through an oral presentation.
Applicants accepted into the program will be hired as temporary employees of the University of Michigan to participate as an F-CVC SURF Fellow. Background screening and pre-employment drug testing upon acceptance of a contingent job offer will be performed. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Upon acceptance into the program, you will be expected to complete the required screening/testing ly. Failure to complete or pass required screening/testing will lead to a rescinded fellowship offer.

The deadline for recommenders to SUBMIT letters of recommendation is Sunday, January 15, 2024 (11:59 PM EST). If recommenders experience issues with submitting letters to the SurveyMonkey portal, letters should be emailed to FCVC-SURF@med.umich.edu. Make sure this email contains the recommender's name and the applicant's name in the email.
