WHAT: Open to the public, Planes of Fame Air Museum (Chino, CA) presents its monthly Living History Flying Day on September 7, 2019 with the topic being - Torpedo & Dive Bombers featuring the Grumman TBM Avenger & Junior Aviators Day. A speaker panel of distinguished aviation experts, historians and veterans is featured, followed by a question & answer period and flight demonstration when possible. The Grumman TBM Avenger undergoing maintenance. The event will highlight the TBM Avenger, but the F4U Corsair is scheduled to fly instead at 12:00pm that day (subject to change). At 12:00 noon, the Raffle Flight will occur. Become a member to enter the Raffle. All members are eligible to enter the Raffle, but you must be present to win. More on Junior Aviators Day later.

Saturday, September 7, 2019, 10am–12 noon: Speaker program & flight demonstration. Museum doors open at 9:00am.

Junior Aviator’s Day is where kids discover and explore the wonders of flight.

All children 11 years and under are admitted free (with a paid adult)* and have unlimited access to all the Museum has to offer.

  • Off to the Air Races!
  • Explore Plastic Model Airplanes
  • Discover “My Little Airplane”
  • Learn the Parts of a Plane
  • Visit the Aviation Discovery Center

The Museum is open to the Public, General Admission is $15; for children 11 yrs and under, admission is $6; ages 4 and under are FREE! (excludes special events). FREE Living History Flying Day Admission for Planes of Fame Members! Click here to become a Member!

Moderator and Aviation Historian Kevin Thompson along with Members of the Museum's Education Team will be presenting.
