Mission and Vision

The mission of the International Employee Affinity Group is to offer a safe space and serve as a resource for international faculty and staff to enable them to transition to Vanderbilt and to Nashville at large and serve as an ongoing supportive community. The IEAG creates professional and social opportunities for international faculty and staff to provide a welcoming and nurturing environment in which they can thrive.

Mar. 25. 2022 – Reception for International EAG 

  • You are invited to an in-person reception for the International Employee Affinity Group! This reception has been planned as an opportunity for us all to meet in person and get to know each other. Light hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine will be served. Please feel free to share this invitation with anyone you feel may be interested in joining our EAG. We look forward to seeing you there!

Feb. 18. 2022 – Virtual Meet N’ Greet 

  • The International Employee Affinity Group planned its first meeting in spring on Friday, February 18 so that members can meet and get to know one another.

Nov. 19. 2021International EAG Interest Session

  • Employee Affinity Groups (EAGs) are employee-led and facilitated groups formed around interests, backgrounds, identities, and common bonds. Those who identify as international, non US citizen, immigrants, refugees are encouraged to attend. The meeting is open to all Vanderbilt employees, including staff, faculty, and postdoctoral scholars, regardless of identity. The goal of the interest meeting is to gather input, ask questions, and offer suggestions about how a International Employee Affinity Group at Vanderbilt can best serve this community, including creating programming for International students, scholars and employees.
