UWM hosting early voting site Oct. 20 to 30

UWM is once again serving as an early voting site for the Nov. 3 general election. Any City of Milwaukee resident can register and vote weekdays in the UWM Student Union from Oct. 20 to 30.

Election Day gives everyone the opportunity to become civically engaged and influence the future of our country. A number of UWM students shared the reasons they vote in this video.

For more information on voting and registration, polling places, acceptable identification and other resources to prepare for voting, go to UWM’s voter information webpage.

For students who would like to participate in the voting process and earn some cash, the City of Milwaukee is in need of additional poll workers for the November election. In the past, many poll workers have been retirees or older people, who may be reluctant to serve this year since they are at greater risk during the COVID-19 pandemic. More information on these paid positions is available on the City of Milwaukee Election Commission website.
