IF,

at

the

Zimmerli

Art

Museum

in

New Brunswick,

New Jersey

. . .

A

scream

echoes

through

the

galleries,

It’s

because

this

woman

has

lost

her

nose!

(And these guys will be laughing about it.)

Don’t

blame

this beast

though.

He would not steal a nose!
We promise.

(Besides, just look at that adorable face! So cute, right?)

Blame

THIS

naughty

devil

who

took

the

nose

and

hid it

somewhere

in the museum!

WHO

CAN

HELP

FIND

THE

NOSE

?

Maybe

George Washington

would

help,

but

he’s

having

his

portrait painted.*

(And he needs to stay very still.)

* To be honest, that’s not really George Washington being painted in that portrait there. But it DOES kind of look like him, doesn’t it??

And we wouldn’t dare interrupt one of this woman’s famous performances as she hops off her pedestal and twirls and dances around the museum galleries.

And THIS guy?

Well, he’s just way too

grumpy.

(He doesn’t even want to come out of his painting today.)

She could

ask

THIS

person,

BUT he can’t leave his sheep alone in the field.

And

the

acrobat

is so high up

she

can’t

hear

the

calls for help

from way up there!

But THIS woman

will volunteer.

She’ll step out of her painting,

put down her cat,

and search

for the missing nose.

(The mice at her feet will scatter all around the museum! Oh no!)

And in the meantime…

The lady with the missing nose will try to find a temporary one in the museum.

She’ll try on pieces of these paintings over here…

...and here...

but none of them will do.

This man

will

NOT

be

willing

to

share

his.

(And who can blame him with a beautiful nose like that?)

So the lady will

search all around.

She’ll look outside

and inside.

She’ll look

behind

doors.

(It’d be best to ring first!)

Until FINALLY!

She will find the nose!

(It was stuck to the wall like a work of art!)

And

she’ll

return

it

to

the

lady.

BUT...

When she fits the nose back on...

She will

SCREAM

(again)

and toss the nose away

Because...

She is going to smell

a lot of smells

that will make her nose

tickle

like

fish

and...

sweet,

juicy

fruit

(that the mice will enjoy nibbling on)

and…

WET DOGS*

(who are leaving puddles everywhere!)

BUT…

*YOU KNOW WHAT? The Zimmerli Art Museum actually has some really good, enticing smells coming from the museum’s cafe! YUM!

Maybe HE would like to borrow it instead.

(It kind of looks good on him, don’t you think?)

Um, hello? Who’s going to help catch all the mice and get them back into their painting now???
