Inspired by a penultimate scene in 10 Things I Hate About You, Bloods rattle off a list of what they hate in new single, “I Hate It.” The track appears on the band’s upcoming Seattle EP, and as their past material so effortlessly demonstrated, this band packs their crunchy, but sweet garage pop with charm. Even amidst a message of contending with annoyance, the band keeps things light, incorporating a brief group ooo and a breakdown near the song’s conclusion that features a touch of keys and softened vocals. Bloods is clearly having fun with each of their singles and releases, and “I Hate It,” along with its backing video of BloodsTV clips, is no exception.
