Join us for an on-campus meditation retreat on Saturday March 25, from 1-5pm! This event is brought to you by the Global Development Student Council
All are welcome. No prior experience or yoga mats necessary. Just bring yourself and something to write with!
1. Meditate & Introspect: Experience meditation sessions with certified instructors; have space for journaling and reflection
2. Eat & Socialize: Lunch and refreshments are provided. Connect with other students and build meaningful relationships during mealtimes and group activities
3. Have fun! Our goal is to provide you with a safe and supportive environment where you can kickstart or deepen your meditation practice
KEY EXPECTATIONS:- We are trying to create a "No Cell Phone" Zone - be prepared to turn off your cell phones, shut away all your emails and other notifications.
- You're expected to attend for *the entire duration* to fully benefit from the experience!
- We *request* that everyone shows up and let us know in advance if you can't make it. We will provide the spot to the next participant.
PROPOSED SCHEDULE (exact timings are flexible):
12:50pm - Show-up and Check-in
1:00 - 1:30pm: Introductions, Ground Rules
1:30 - 2:00pm: Guided Heartfulness Meditation focusing on Relaxation
2:00 - 2:30pm: Reflection, Journaling, and Individual Reading
2:30 - 3:00pm: Breakout Sessions, Small Group Discussions
3:00 - 3:45pm: Lunch Time/Social Time
3:45 - 4:15pm: Guided Meditation focusing on Rejuvenation/Deepening the Meditation Experience
4:15 - 4:45pm: Choose Your Own Adventure! (Individual Reflection or Movement)
4:45 - 5:00pm: Concluding the day - Questions and Deep Breathing
