Video Premiere: Cole Swindell Debuts Touching ‘You Should Be Here’

Currently reigning ACM New Artist of the Year Cole Swindell has made a name for himself quickly in Nashville, lending his Georgia-bred variety of country songwriting to a number of tunes by various artists including Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan, and others – as well as himself, having released his debut self-titled album in February 2014.

Swindell’s fans no doubt know the bittersweet story behind his album release: Just months before the record hit the streets, Swindell’s father died unexpectedly. Yahoo Music is touched to debut the video for Swindell’s newest single,“You Should be Here,” in which he addresses the tragedy and the difficulty of missing a loved one during the holidays.

The video was shot in the singer’s hometown in Georgia, and follows him to cemetery where his dad is buried – documenting the very first time he has been back there since his father’s passing.

Swindell has currently racked up four No. 1 hits off his debut album. He will be playing select dates through the end of the year: If you’d like to keep up with his schedule, check here.
