Almogaber Selected for Inaugural Class of Executive Residency Program


The College of Pharmacy is pleased to share that fourth-year student Aiya Almogaber has been named to the 2021-2022 class of executive residencies for the American Pharmacists Association.

The APhA Executive Residency Program, in its inaugural year, is designed to provide pharmacists with training and experience in the fundamentals of association management to support the association’s vision, mission, and brand identity as the leading professional organization representing pharmacists in all practice settings. Residents contribute to APhA’s strategic priorities and operations through collaborations with staff teams across the organization.

Almogaber will serve in APhA’s practice department during her residency. In this position, she will be involved in the development of practice tools and resources, member engagement activities, project management, advocacy efforts, research projects and more.

Almogaber looks forward to advancing and promoting the role of the pharmacist through this executive residency.

“An Executive Residency position with APhA will give me the opportunity to advocate for the pharmacy profession at the largest scale. My experiences as a student have shown me the potential for growth and the impact a national association can have,” she says.

The APhA Executive Resident position is a 12-month paid opportunity located at the historic APhA Headquarters on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
