June 15 — 11-5pm

Nerikomi — Workshop 


Over the course of 6+ hours, participants will learn to create nerikomi plates. The process begins with learning how to pigment clay, followed by stacking, slicing, and reassembling the colored clay into nerikomi blocks. Students will then use custom plaster slump molds designed & made by Peaches to shape their nerikomi blocks into dishware.

Cotton Basketry with Celeste Whitewolf — Workshop


This workshop is taught by the Celeste Whitewolf of the Confederate Tribes of the Umatilla,  a master basket weaver based in the PNW.  Together we will work with cotton fiber, recycled paper and glass beads to form a patterned basket with lid.

Marbled Porcelain— Workshop


This workshop is in tandem with Portland-based ceramicists, Peaches the Studio. Together, we will pigment, hand build and marble porcelain clay vessels and send it off for firing/glazing at Peaches studio.

Flower Making — Workshop


Students will build one large arrangement utilizing in-season botanicals, special papers, repurposed materials, synthetics and natural fibers alongside the infamous flower guru Manu  

Torres will guide you through his personal process- applying his design principals to create unconventional structures with playful material ingenuity. All tools and materials provided.
