Students and faculty at Notre Dame hosted a hands-on learning experience over the weekend to teach kids about groundwater and the ecosystem.
The event was held the day before Halloween, so kids were encouraged to show up in costumes as they learned all about the variety of environmental research happening at Notre Dame.
But it wasn't all science lessons for the kids, as they got to enjoy some trick-or-treating afterwards.
Brett Peters said, "It's just great for kids to get into science. There's nothing better than coming out in your own backyard and interacting with people who do science for a living and see their enthusiasm, I think it can really just ignite that spark in a kid."
Trick-or-treaters were able to collect stamps at each station and exchange a full ticket for a goodie bag.
