Notification and Fees
Tennessee Underground Storage Tank Rules require tank owners, buyers and sellers of tanks to notify the state at different times during the lifetime of a tank.
UST Data and Reports
The Tennessee Division of Underground Storage Tanks maintains a database which contains information concerning the Division’s activities. Information is updated on a monthly basis. This information in this section of the website was last updated on March 28, 2024.
Compliance & Inspections
The Division wants to work with our tank owners and operators to not only provide requirements for the rules and regulations but offer guidance and educational resources as well. We hope that you will find this section useful and if you have suggestions or questions please let us know.
Tank and Piping Closure
When closing your tanks, compartments, or piping complete the "Application for Permanent Closure of UST System” and submit the application to the appropriate Field Office for approval 30 days prior to closing any portion of the UST system.
Above Ground Tanks & Brownfields
Above ground storage tanks are not regulated by this Division.
