Today marks the 70th anniversary of the landmark Brown v. Board of Education decision. While we celebrate this decision, we should also celebrate and more importantly, JOIN those fighting for equitable education for Black students in Minnesota. One group I personally admire is the Coalition to Increase Teachers of Color and American Indian Teachers in Minnesota. At Girl Scouts River Valleys I learned about their work when I noticed their bill introduction at the state, which was something GSRV was interested in supporting.
