Spring Programs Begin Monday January 4, 2021!

For Spring 2021 Session, Saddle Up! will continue to operate with modified programming for all programs. Our Fall Session went smoothly, and we are now ready to begin Spring Session by remaining at Phase Three of our opening plan.

Of course, we will continue following CDC health and safety protocols and respond immediately to any changes in governmental agency guidance. Everyone on property will be signed in and out, have temperature and symptoms checked prior to entering the building by staff or volunteer, and be required to wear a mask. By signing in and out, we will have a complete list of everyone on property to allow for contact tracing.

With an abundance of caution and based on credible common-sense consult, our leadership created the following phased opening plan.

PHASES FOR PROGRAM REOPENING

Phase Three: Began with Fall 2020 Session on Sept. 14
  • Participants that require physical support return.
  • Continue scheduling no more than two participants in a lesson with no grooming or tacking.
  • Participants that require sidewalker will be scheduled for a 40-minute lesson.
  • Participants that require two sidewalkers will be scheduled for a 40-minute lesson with a volunteer sidewalker and a parent volunteer sidewalker.
  • Unmounted skills for some programs will be done virtually.
Modifications for Spring 2021 Session starting Jan. 4th
  • Alumni Transitions and Equestrian Club will be permitted to do unmounted skills on-site with limitations and proper sanitization.
  • Interactive Vaulting and Equestrian Club will be permitted to have three participants in a lesson due to limited volunteer needs for those programs.
Phase Four: Date To Be Determined
  • All participants can return, parent/guardian sidewalkers will not be required.
  • All programs can return to pre-pandemic length (i.e. 1 hour Adaptive Riding lessons, 1.5 hours Alumni Transition lessons).
  • Adaptive Riding and Alumni Transitions will be limited to two participants per lesson.
  • Interactive Vaulting and Equestrian Club will be permitted to have three participants in a lesson due to limited volunteer needs for those programs.
  • For our Fun on the Farm program, we will provide more information closer to summer registration.
  • Unmounted skills (grooming and tacking) can be done on site with limitations and proper sanitization.
Phase Five: Date To Be Determined
  • Programming can return to pre-pandemic scheduling
  • Volunteers/staff can return to normal operations.
  • Increased cleaning and sanitizing protocols will still be in place.
In the event additional best practice protocols are released, we will update our plan accordingly. Our expectation is that all staff, participants, and volunteers will follow our carefully thought out policies, and if there are questions or concerns regarding your ability to meet these expectations, please let us know immediately by emailing lkush@saddleupnashville.org.

If you have questions related to our Spring Schedule, please email schenevert@saddleupnashville.org.

If you have questions about volunteering for Spring Programs, please email sstonage@saddleupnashville.org.

If you have questions about corporate or school group volunteering, please email lkush@saddleupnashville.org.

If we do have an active case on property, we plan to communicate to all affected by using our contact tracing list.

We are thankful for your trust and we are excited to see everyone again!
