2026 Spring Order of the Engineer Induction Ceremony |
From: Nyabwija Kanefu, Coordinator, SES Undergraduate Studies |
To: Graduating Engineering Seniors |
Congratulations on nearing your graduation! As you will be graduating with a Bachelor of Engineering degree, you are invited to join us for the Order of the Engineer Induction Ceremony at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, in DeBaun Auditorium. Induction into this association is purely optional, but it provides the opportunity for an additional milestone at the end of your undergraduate career.
|
The Order of the Engineer is an association for graduate and professional engineers in the United States that emphasizes pride and responsibility in the engineering profession. With induction into The Order of the Engineer, you will be joining one of the world's largest communities of engineering professionals. (For past induction ceremonies, see these stories from 2023 and 2025.)
The Order of the Engineer is an honorary organization, not membership-based. There are no meetings, there is no email distribution list, and there are no dues to pay. The only "payment" necessary is a $10 deposit — the SES Office of the Dean will cover the rest!
If you are interested in attending the ceremony and becoming a member of the Order of the Engineer, please note the deadlines below. These deadlines are firm, as we need an official headcount in order to prepare materials for the ceremony.
|
-
Fill out this RSVP form by Friday, April 3, at 5 p.m.
- Meet with a representative of the SES Office of the Dean before Friday, April 10, at 3 p.m. for ring sizing and payment. Contact information to request a meeting can be accessed by completing the RSVP form.
-
The "full refund deadline" to alert me if your "Yes" RSVP changes to "No" is Friday, April 17, at 5 p.m.
|
Note that you must attend the ceremony in-person in order to be inducted. Due to the ceremonial nature of the event, there is no virtual option.
|
We look forward to seeing you there! Please contact Nyabwija Kanefu (nkanefu@stevens.edu) with any questions.
