Monthly Focus
Welcome to our “digital extra goodies” page!
Each month in our missions discipleship curriculum, we focus on Southern Baptist missions efforts in various locations in the US and around the world.
And, well, some things like videos and downloadables don’t quite fit in our print publications.
So here is where you can find your extra supplemental digital goodies every month.
Below you’ll see the extras listed by month. We’ll keep a few month’s worth up on the page at a time.
But to keep the page light and speedy for you, we’ll delete the oldest month as we add the newest month. So if you think you might want to refer back to something in the distant future, go ahead and download or copy the info now.
Kevin and Victoria serve as International Mission Board (IMB) missionaries in Uganda among Sudanese refugees. Their primary work is doing food distribution, trauma healing, and evangelism alongside discipleship. As a result of the food distributions and sharing the gospel, Kevin explained, “We have a small church plant whose leaders are Muslim-background believers [who] passionately seek to evangelize their lost Sudanese brothers and sisters.” Kevin’s team members also seek to provide long-term help for refugees through a ministry of training people in small business management.

Catherine serves in South Asia alongside several local women who go out with her to share the gospel. Since she is an American, language takes time, and partnering with locals who know the language and can share the gospel in the heart languages of the people they serve is a blessing. Catherine and her partners look for connections with new local churches that will let them train their people on a simple evangelism tool, and then they go out together and share the gospel. When people come to know Jesus, they work with the believers in discipleship and planting new churches.
5 Fun Facts about the Special Worker
- Catherine Knowles was a teacher before becoming a special worker.
