Vice Provost for Career Advancement and Engagement and Evans Family Executive Director of the Career Center Alex Sevilla has appointed a committee to conduct a national search for the senior director of the Career Center. The committee includes a group of faculty and staff members, an alumna and a current student. Jill Stratton, assistant provost for residential education and associate dean for residential colleges, will serve as the committee chair.

“The Career Center plays an essential role in helping our students and recent alumni find and secure careers and postgraduate opportunities that utilize the skills, knowledge and experiences they gained throughout their time at Vanderbilt,” Sevilla said. “The committee is charged with identifying a transformational leader who will leverage and enhance the center’s strengths while also propelling the center forward in bold and imaginative new ways. This is a dynamic opportunity to work with the entire One Vanderbilt community to transform how we deliver career services and support here at VU.”

The senior director will provide strategic leadership for the Career Center, serve as a thought partner to Sevilla and play an integral role within the newly formed unit of Career Advancement and Engagement, as broad expansion occurs to meet the growing needs of Vanderbilt students and alumni.
