Lance VandenBrook takes on the role most recently held by company founder Tom Galluzzo.

Pittsburgh-based IAM Robotics named Lance VandenBrook, previously an advisor for the company, as its new CEO Tuesday, according to a news release.

VandenBrook takes on the role from founder Tom Galluzzo, who will return to his role as chief technology officer.

VandenBrook’s previous roles include positions at Kiva Systems, Aria Insights and Takkion Holdings.

“IAM Robotics has built a solid foundation and is poised for growth,” VandenBrook said, in a prepared statement. “I am excited to be joining the company during this time, and I look forward to what our future holds.”

In summer 2018, IAM Robotics named its vice president Joel Reed as CEO, in a move that also made Galluzzo CTO. However, in April 2020, Reed moved into the position of interim executive director of the Pittsburgh Robotics Network again putting Galluzzo in the CEO role.
