Introduction BJA’s Access and Recovery Peer Recovery Support Services Training and Technical Assistance Center, Altarum, will begin hosting a four-part learning series that will highlight key factors and considerations in preparing organizations for the implementation of peer recovery support services (PRSS). The series will begin on March 28 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., ET, and will continue the last Thursday of each month through June. The sessions will include an overview of PRSS services and will highlight specific models of implementation within various intercepts. Steps for successful integration and familiar challenges and barriers will also be highlighted. The sessions will offer an opportunity for attendees to share with each other and raise critical issues related to implementing a PRSS program. Learning Objectives
Who Should Attend? The four-part community of practice series on the organizational readiness of PRSS will provide organizations an opportunity to have an in-depth conversation with individuals who are implementing a comprehensive substance use intervention program. The sessions are open to BJA Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Use Program (COSSUP) grantees who serve as directors/supervisors or program executives within organizations that are working on the implementation of PRSS in some capacity. This forum also provides an opportunity to discuss this topic with others working to improve service implementation. Each session will include one or two COSSUP grantees who will share their experiences and participate in the discussion. Register Today!
