Atlantic City, N.J. – Stockton University continued its run of racing on the Intracoastal Waterway by hosting fellow Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference member Catholic University. The Ospreys split the varsity eight races against the Cardinals and won the varsity four to finish with wins in two of the three races that went to completion.
Stockton was edged by two seconds in the first varsity eight race, finishing in 5:21.00 while Catholic won in 5:19.50. The Ospreys later earned the split by winning the rematch at 5:11.70 to the Cardinals' 5:18.90.
Lorelei Hendricks (Burlington/Doane Academy) was the coxswain for the varsity eight.

Jamie Dubicki (Hasbrouck Hts./Bergen County Tech),
Gabrielle Eppright (Swainton/Cape May Tech),
Olivia Hurley (Bayville/Central Regional) and
Emily Culmone (Absecon/Ocean City) rowed in both varsity eight races.
Caitlyn Fogarty (Jackson/Jackson Memorial) rowed in the first race while
Kayla Bokor (Wayne/Roxbury) rowed in the second race.
Stockton won the varsity four by 19 seconds with a time of 6:22.50 while Catholic finished in 6:41.60.
Emily Thompson (Manahawkin/Southern Regional) was the coxswain for the V4.
Jany Anderson (Petersburg/Ocean City),
Carrie Alpin (North Hanover/Northern Burlington),
Nicole Dube (Newton/Kittatinny) and
Kayla Bokor (Wayne/Roxbury) rowed to victory for Stockton in the varsity four.
The teams also rowed in second varsity eight and novice four races, but neither was completed. Stockton lost a rudder in the second varsity eight and Catholic hit a piling in the novice four.
Stockton will host a fourth straight weekend of races in Atlantic City when Franklin & Marshall visits Atlantic City to face the Ospreys on Saturday, April 17.
