The house from The Munsters later appeared on Desperate Housewives.

A unique family of fun monsters was featured in the sitcom The Munsters, which debuted in September 1964. Like this family, the house they lived in on 1313 Mockingbird Lane had a colorful backstory.

Its exterior facade was originally built for the movie So Goes My Love (1946) and later appeared in an episode of the TV Western series, The Virginian (1964). The interior of the house first made an appearance in an episode of Leave It to Beaver (1957).

Four decades after The Munsters series was cancelled, the house again appeared on TV, this time on the set of Desperate Housewives (2004). It was remodeled to look less spooky and more in keeping with modern suburban life.
