Camden, N.J. – Stockton University (6-4-1, 2-0 NJAC) scored one goal in each half for a 2-0 conference victory over Rutgers-Camden (4-4-2, 0-3) that extended the Ospreys' unbeaten streak to five games (4-0-1).
Brendan Deal (Monroe Twp./Monroe Twp.) struck early for Stockton, breaking in and scoring up high just 4:04 into the game. Deal's goal was his second in as many games and fourth of the season. Despite being outshot 8-3, the Ospreys led 1-0 at the half.
The Scarlet Raptors outshot Stockton 8-3 again in the second half, but the Ospreys not only kept Rutgers-Camden off the scoreboard, they also added a late insurance goal.
With 7:46 remaining,
Ian Byrne (Lanoka Harbor/Lacey Twp.) deposited a long shot from the left side into the top right corner the give Stockton some breathing room and seal the 2-0 triumph for the Ospreys. The marker was Byrne's second of the season.

Dino Gromitsaris (Bordentown/Bordentown) made five saves and posted his fourth shutout of the season. Gromitsaris also extended his personal scoreless streak to 380 minutes since he last yielded a goal.
Stockton returns home to host Kean University in an NJAC match on Saturday at 1 p.m.
