Galloway, NJ –Stockton University (1-0) scored three straight goals in the second half to take a 4-2 victory over Arcadia (0-1) on Thursday night.
Alexandria Palumbo (Mantua/Clearview),
Ameera Bilgrami (Voorhees/Eastern) and
Jamilyn Hawkins (Little Egg Harbor/Pinelands) garnering three points each on a goal and assist. It was the first contest of the season for both squads.

Stockton opened the scoring as Hawkins notched her first career goal at 5:22 of the first period, on an assist from
Kallie Green (Wildwood/Pennsville). It was Green's first career point as an Osprey after three seasons at SUNY Cortland.

The Knights knotted the game with three seconds left in the first half when Morganne Dee tallied for the 1-1 tie at the break. Arcadia took a 2-1 advantage at 38:07 on a tap-in off the left post, but the Ospreys answered three minutes, as freshman
Kirsten Bailey (Burlington/Burlington Twp.) tipped in a Palumbo blast to knot the game at 2-2 after three frames. It was Bailey's first career tally.

With just over 10 minutes remaining in regulation, Palumbo scored, on a pass from Bilgrami, to give the home team a 3-2 lead. It was Bilgrami's first career point. Six minutes later, Bilgrami took a corner pass from Hawkins and scored her first career goal to give Stockton the 4-2 lead.

The Knights were able to get a pair of penalty corners in the final three minutes but could not cash in and the Ospreys came away with the two-goal victory.

Kylie Mitchell (Shamong/Seneca) made three saves in net for the win. Her counterpart Gracie Fenner kicked out nine shots, as Stockton held a 13-5 margin in shots on net for the contest.

The Ospreys next game will be a home affair against #12 Salisbury on Saturday afternoon. Game time is set for 12 pm.
