Collegeville, PA –Stockton University (1-0) scored two goals in the second half to win their season opener on the road against Ursinus (0-1) on Thursday evening. Senior
Paul Bechtelheimer (Washington Twp./St. Augustine Prep) and freshman
Mohammed Bangoura (Jersey City/Hudson Catholic) scored the markers for Stockton. It was the first career goals for each player.

After a scoreless first half, the Ospreys broke through.
Peter Kozlej (Toms River/Toms River East) fired a corner kick into the box, where Bechtelheimer headed the ball in the net at 49:21. The teams battled through the next 27 minutes, until Bangoura took a pass from
Brendan Deal (Monroe Twp./Monroe Twp.). His shot found the upper right corner for the insurance goal at 76:37 and a 2-0 lead.

From there the defense and goalkeeper
Liam Brett (Palmyra/Palmyra) made the lead stand up. Brett made a superb stop off a free kick in the final 29 seconds to preserve the shutout, the first of his career. He kicked out four shots in the victory.

Peter Schoenberg kicked out six shots for the Bears in goal.

The Ospreys will play in the Roanoke Invitational this weekend, as the Ospreys face host Roanoke on Saturday at 6 pm.
