Higher education is most trusted source to handle AI
Stevens' TechPulse Report found that nearly half of Americans trust colleges and universities to ethically deploy artificial intelligence — more than law enforcement, corporations and government. American Talent Initiative sees gain in lower-income college students
The American Talent Initiative, a 140-school coalition, aims to enroll 50,000 more Pell Grant recipients by 2025. After initial gains, progress stalled during COVID but rebounded in 2023. Stevens Institute of Technology stands out, increasing Pell enrollment 59% since 2015 — a top-5 rate. But many elite colleges are still losing ground in serving lower-income students.
PSEG’s $1.45M gift helps launch Stevens Center for Sustainability
Stevens Institute of Technology received a $1.45 million gift from PSEG Foundation to launch the new Stevens Center for Sustainability, continuing a long-standing partnership between the university and PSEG that has provided over $4.8 million in funding since 2003 to support sustainability education and research.
