Galloway, N.J. – Fifteen of the 22 players on the Stockton University field hockey team qualified for the
NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad by posting cumulative grade point averages of 3.30 or higher through the Fall 2021 semester. The 15 Ospreys were among over 2,300 qualifiers from 161 Division III teams that were recognized by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.
The list of Osprey qualifiers was topped by senior
Kelsey Andrus (Mays Landing/Oakcrest), who was one of 323 players in the nation who made the NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad for the fourth straight year.
Fellow seniors
Gianna Morganti (Berlin/St. Joseph's) and
Madison Dancisin (Little Egg Harbor/Pinelands) plus juniors
Isabella Ceraso (Marlton/Cherokee),
Rhian Freire (Mays Landing/Cedar Creek) and
Kelly Mollahan (Boonton/Boonton) all earned the academic honor for the third time.
Sophomores
Kylie Mitchell (Shamong/Seneca) and
Jenna Fiorito (East Greenville, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) repeated as National Academic Squad qualifiers in their second year of college. Seniors
Corinn Guilford (Williamstown/St. Joseph's) and
Gracee Roberts (Monroeville/Woodstown) met the criteria for the first time.
Stockton's large freshman class was well-represented as five rookies earned a place on the National Academic Squad in their first semester of college.

Jamilyn Hawkins (Little Egg Harbor/Pinelands),
Autumn Hunter (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton Area),
Giavonna LoBianco (Pt. Pleasant Boro/Pt. Pleasant Boro) and
Dakota Ludman (Cape May CH/Middle Twp.).
On the field, Stockton went 8-8 during the 2021 season, with half of the team's 16 games decided by one goal including three that went to overtime or shootout. The defensive-minded squad held its opponents to one goal or less in seven of the 16 matches, highlighted by four shutouts.
