Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University sophomore
Alexandria Palumbo (Mantua/Clearview) was chosen to the
NFHCA All-Region IV Second Team by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association for the second straight year.
Palumbo became the first Osprey in the program's 20-year history to earn two NFHCA All-Region accolades. The midfielder started all 15 games in which she played this fall, leading the team in goals (6), points (14) and defensive saves (6). Her six defensive saves tied the second-highest total in program history.
Palumbo tied for the NJAC lead in defensive saves. Her season also included two assists and two game-winning goals, which tied for the team lead in that category. Palumbo came on strong late in the season, scoring a goal in four of Stockton's last six games and making all six of her defensive saves during that span.
Just two years into her career, Palumbo already is a two-time NJAC First Team and two-time NFHCA All-Region IV Second Team player. In 31 games at Stockton, she has 16 goals and two assists for 34 points.
