‘Culinary Medicine: Healing in the Kitchen’ Lesson

Manahawkin, N.J. – Anthony Dissen, Plant-Based Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Integrative Health Educator, and Stockton Instructor of Health Sciences, will host a free, informative lesson on what food can do for the body at 10 a.m. July 8 at Stockton’s Manahawkin campus, 712 East Bay Ave.

Dissen will explain how making small adjustments to the way one prepares food can increase its nutritional quality and medicinal effects. His talk will include specific foods, spices, teas, and cooking methods that increase the ability of meals to boost the immune system, reduce inflammation, promote healing, and increase nourishment.
