Knox County, other East Tennessee school systems closed Tuesday as flood threats loom

Here we go again, parents. 

Knox County Schools will be closed Tuesday due to "forecasted heavy rainfall that could cause flash flooding."

Slow-moving storms mean that a flood watch is in effect for East Tennessee. Since 2 to 4 inches of rain are predicted to lead to flooding and road closures, schools are opting to close for safety reasons. 

Illness and flooding have closed various school systems this past month. We'll keep you updated on school closures.
