Bryn Mawr, Pa. – Stockton University (10-1) extended its winning streak to six games with a 69-66 victory over Rosemont College (2-8) in the Ospreys' final game before the holidays. The win continued Stockton's best start since opening 11-0 in the 2014-15 season.
Jordan Williams (Trenton/Trenton Central) led the Ospreys with a career-high 17 points, his third straight game in double figures. Williams made every shot that he took, going a perfect 7-7 from the floor including 2-2 on three-pointers plus 1-1 at the line.
DJ Campbell (Vineland/Vineland) contributed 14 points, six rebounds and five assists while
Milo De Los Santos (Hopewell Valley/Hopewell Valley) hit double figures with 10 points on 4-8 shooting.
Kadian Dawkins (Eastampton/Rancocas Valley) chipped in with seven points plus game highs of seven rebounds and seven assists.
Stockton opened up a 17-point lead in the first half before settling for a 38-30 advantage at the break. The Ospreys shot 51.7 percent from the floor (15-29), including 8-19 (42.1%) from three-point range in the half.
Rosemont heated up in the second half, connecting at 57.7 percent from the floor (15-26) while Stockton cooled off, especially from long range as the Ospreys went just 3-14 (21.4%) from beyond the arc.
Although Stockton was outscored by five in the second half overall, the Ospreys were able to keep the lead and prevail 69-66 for their sixth consecutive triumph.
Stockton will take a break for the holidays before returning to action in the new year. The Ospreys' next game will on January 3 when they host Misericordia University at 6 p.m.
