Classic country singer, Debbie Cochran, recently released a new music video for her duet with Country Music Hall of Fame and Grammy award winning legend Dolly Parton. “Born Again Wildflower” is the title track on Cochran’s new album set to release on Friday, June 16, 2017.

Cochran penned the song and recorded it under the direction of Grammy-nominated producer, Kent Wells. Dolly and Debbie blend harmonies throughout the song and Cochran’s chorus talks about holding on to faith during times of hardships. “I’m a born again wildflower dancing in April showers. Oh God, you rock my world when I rock my boat.” Cochran said, “With each hardship faced, there is always a chance to blossom.”

“This album was my opportunity to talk about life’s obstacles and how I use my faith to overcome the hard times. When I rock my boat, God rocks my world. Where there is forgiveness there is beauty. There are no words that can truly describe working with Dolly Parton in the Kent Wells Productions studio. Her spirit, so uplifting, is a reflection of the light I love to sing and write about. Her beautiful vocals add the glitter to ‘Born Again Wildflower.’”

“I love Debbie’s rich, honest voice and songwriting,” says Kent. “Her music comes from her heart and is not contrived or filtered. That to me marks a true artist! She and Dolly fit together perfectly on “Born Again Wildflower."”

Cochran is known for her golden alto gospel voice blended with traditional country undertones. Raised in a musical family who regularly harmonized around the piano, Cochran says that it is her impressionable years at church and her early love Reba McEntire, Martina McBride, and other classic country music that help lay down the foundation for her musical style.

“My upbringing really reflects in my music. I was raised in church and gospel music was instilled in me from a young age. It’s what comes naturally when I sit down to write. I use my faith to push through the hard times and I thank God for the blessings he’s given me in the good times,” said Cochran. “I hope my listeners relate and can find hope and encouragement in the words I sing. I want them to know they’re not alone.”

Debbie was recognized by Music Row Magazine’s Robert K. Oermann with the coveted DISCovery award for her song “It’s Never Too Late” in 2012.
