DJ Bailey of bff.fm DJ NRVS LVRS Aaron Hazen, Wendy Brents, Andrew Gomez, Bevin Fernandez, Ryan McGee -from San Francicso, CA -Fronted by the husband-wife team of songwriters Andrew Gomez & Bevin Fernandez, NRVS LVRS ("Nervous Lovers") is a modern darkwave act with an energetic live show & intense background visuals. Barely two years old, the 5-piece has toured the US West Coast, opened up for acts like Jagwar Ma, Telekinesis, and Tropics, and garnered praise from the likes of Noisey, The Line Of Best Fit, and Uncut Magazine for their debut album The Golden West. In the summer of 2016, they went to Jackpot! Studios in Portland, Oregon to work with producer Larry Crane and are looking forward to releasing their second album Electric Dread in 2017. The Dead Ships Devlin - Vocals/Guitar, Christopher - Drums, Alex - Bass -from Los Angeles, CA -In the 3 years since the Dead Ships traded punches at their 1st living room practice, LA's howling garage rock trio have toured the shadiest parts of the continent, slept on the grimiest couches, & been named 1 of the city's best live shows (DoLA, Grimy Goods). Feral & soulful, they most recently released the 1st of 2 EPs, produced by Broken Social Scene's Brendan Canning, w/ Big Quiet #1 on KROQ. vverevvolf Kelsey LaRae, Dylan Gallagher -from Berkeley, CA -Berkeley-based synthpop duo consisting of Kelsey LaRae and Dylan Gallagher. Their musical project is concerned mainly with navigating the huge canvas of pop music and using it as a means to explore shifting identities. Good Help August Churchill -from San Francisco, CA -Good Help is the indie dream pop project of San Francisco native and music scene stalwart August Churchill (Rich Girls, Kitten Grenade). While drawing inspiration from the new wave sounds of The Cure & Love and Rockets, his music trades in the driving instrumental inventiveness shared by acts like Phoenix & Band Of Horses. Churchill's tenor rings out above jangling guitars and soaring synths as tumbling drums churn with restless basslines to hurl the beautiful bedlam forward, creating an imaginative and modern take on alternative rock. Offstage, Churchill can be found appreciating the nuances of different whiskeys, palling around with cats, and enjoying the simple pleasure of a tall glass of milk paired with a well-made cookie. Between breaks from his other projects, he records and produces Good Help's music himself at his rehearsal studio with his ultimate goal being to spread goodwill and aid to the rest of the galaxy. Supported by a motley cast of musicians from local indie favorites like Every Move A Picture, Elephone, & Fake Your Own Death, Good Help is appearing soon at a stage near you with a debut record slated for a 2017 release. DJ Bailey DJ Bailey -DJ from online community radio station bff.fm (best frequencies forever). |
