On June 19th, 3 new clinical conditions were developed into AgileMD Clinical Pathway:

    • Inpatient Hyponatremia, Adult (18+)
    • Inpatient Anemia, Adult (18+)
    • EM DVT, Acute, Lower Extremity, Adult (18+)

The inpatient pathways are intended for use by hospitalists/generalists caring for patients outside of critical care. 

Hyponatremia, Adult (18+)

  • Developed with knowledge of the complex nature of this condition for workup 
  • Provides initial triage for emergent considerations, including indications for hypertonic saline  
  • Provides focus for presentation of acute vs. chronic and safety issues with rate of correction 
  • Post initial triage, provides structure for determining etiology of hyponatremia and corresponding treatment

Genomics Update
 
Washington University Pathology Lab: Clinical Genomics Germline and Whole Exome Sequencing results now fully integrated into Epic
 

As of May 22, 2024, variant results from Washington University Pathology Lab for Clinical Genomics Germline and Whole Exome Sequencing tests have been fully integrated into Epic. These discrete results will be displayed in multiple new areas in Epic (Chart Review, Results Review, In Basket, SnapShot reports, etc.), increasing the transparency of genomic results. Clinicians will be able to pull in this discrete information easily into their clinical documentation. Variant data can also be explored using Epic SlicerDicer.

For more information about Washington University Pathology Lab’s genomic testing can be found here. Further development in Epic for Washington University Pathology Lab-based Next-Generation Sequencing testing of Disorders of Somatic Mosaicism/SOMA is ongoing and will be announced when available.

Monitor User Action Log Data in SlicerDicer with New Data Model
 

 

You can now review User Action Log data in SlicerDicer with new data model  13000-Activity Usage Records Data Model.  You can see active time summarized per hour and the unique Epic activity in which users spent time in Epic.

M*Modal Fluency Direct Tips and Tricks – Obtaining a M*Modal Account for Dictation
 

M*Modal Fluency Direct for dictation can be utilized to enhance your documentation experience, you can obtain an account by completing the M*Modal E-Learning which is available in BJC SABA and WashU Learn@Work. This can be completed at your convenience, once completed a M*Modal account will be created for you within 1-3 business days.  Find more information on how to access the M*Modal e-learning here.

There are multiple microphone options that you can utilize with M*Modal. Many provider workstations have the USB microphones available across the system, if there is not a USB microphone available one may be ordered from the BJC or WU service Catalog. Additionally, the 3M Mobile Microphone application can be used as a convenient microphone option. This is a smart phone application that can be downloaded and linked to your M*Modal Profile. With M*Modal, you can add words to your dictionary and even voice enable your Epic Smart Phrases into Commands.
