Bay Area outfit Houses of Heaven play progressive-minded electronic music, incorporating a wide variety of sounds, from psychedelia to krautrock. The band is preparing to release their latest EP, Remnant, and today you can hear new track "Black Waves." The song is augmented with deep percussion, rolling drum hits going off repeatedly under the weight of an airy synth. Vocals are a drifting presence throughout, quick to leave almost as soon as they show up on the scene, while the bassline gives the song a sinister edge. Ultimately, this is a well-oiled machine of dark cool.

Listen to "Black Waves" below, and look out for Remnant May 19 on Felte. Catch the band this spring on tour with labelmates Chasms.
