In August, the college met with the inaugural cohort of Raymond B. Jones Engineering Scholars, had a Professional Development Kick-Off and All-College Welcome gathering and worked with students to prep for the Fall Career Fair. In addition, highlights of other activities coming up this semester include:
September: Back-to-School Cookout, Engineering & Computing Career Fair, resume blitz sessions, Peugeot Center information session, Music City BEST Robotics Kick-Off, Heidi Wright will attend the eMI Conference in Colorado Springs
October: Knowledge Session: What is Networking, Leadership Session: What is Your Style?, Professional Development guest speaker Michael Cassidy (Draper Labs), chili cookoff, students in Lipscomb's SWE chapter (along with Dr. Kirsten Dodson and Erin Ferree) will attend the SWE Conference in Chicago
November: Professional Development Panel, Professionalism Session: What are Codes & Standards, professional society meetings, Music City BEST Robotics Game Day, computing students are preparing for the ICPC Regional Competition
